First chartered in 1948, Century Federal Credit Union is a non profit financial cooperative and currently the largest credit union in Northeast Ohio serving 28,000 members managing more than $349 million in assets.

CHALLENGE

Ordering branded apparel for 80 employees across eight branches was a manual, time-consuming process, vulnerable to human error.

But when they reached out to their current provider about the possibility of moving the process online, they were told they didn’t have enough volume.

So they called ZOOM! Branding Group powered by American Business Solutions in Cleveland.

SOLUTION

They learned that not only could ZOOM! provide an online store solution for their branded apparel, but they could also significantly improve the quality of the clothing.

“I didn’t realize how poor the quality of our apparel was until ZOOM! showed us their options,” said Gwen Dillingham of Century Federal. “And they were able to do more with the embroidery allowing us to increase the size of our logo to include the tagline and give employees choices on where they’d like the logo to appear on the apparel.”

ZOOM! was able to launch the store in just six weeks providing Century with a web link that they could simply add to their Intranet and include in email communications.

“The store is simple to use and the employees are thrilled with the look and feel, as well as the true-size fitting from XS to 6XL,” added Dillingham. “It’s literally going to save us several week’s worth of time each year and minimize costly mistakes.”

Outside of the time savings, Century projects an average cost savings of 17 percent for better quality merchandise.
